Claro que um algoritmo pode detetar e analisar os pix\u00e9is de uma imagem de uma ma\u00e7\u00e3. Mas isso n\u00e3o diz nada sobre a experi\u00eancia humana de provar efetivamente a ma\u00e7\u00e3 ou de sentir o peso da ma\u00e7\u00e3 na m\u00e3o. Esta sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de sabor ou de sentimento \u00e9 exclusivamente humana: a forma como as coisas <em>parecer<\/em> para n\u00f3s. Os fil\u00f3sofos t\u00eam uma palavra para isso - 'qualia'.<\/p>\n<p>Os Qualia s\u00e3o as propriedades subjectivas ou qualitativas das experi\u00eancias humanas. Quanta \u00e9 o que as m\u00e1quinas podem fazer facilmente e sem limites, Qualia \u00e9 - num futuro previs\u00edvel - o que apenas os humanos podem fazer facilmente. As m\u00e1quinas n\u00e3o podem sentir. As m\u00e1quinas n\u00e3o podem experimentar. As m\u00e1quinas n\u00e3o est\u00e3o espiritualmente presentes.
