In this keynote at UNECE in Cyprus (June 2024): The Future of Education: Technology AI, Sustainability, and the Role of Humanity, I explore the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence and the Sustainability Revolution on our future. I discuss the concept of AI as a second brain and the implications of this technology surpassing human capabilities (as far as ‘processing power' is concerned).

I argue for the necessity of ethical considerations in AI development and emphasize the shift from profit-based economics to more planet-centric ones. I explain how education must adapt, moving away from rote learning and downloading facts toward fostering creativity and wisdom to thrive alongside smart machines. Other key topics include the potential of nuclear fusion, the urgency of addressing climate emergency and the future role of humans in a technology-driven world.
