I was invited to the Seoul Future Conference 2024 to speak about AI and the Future. I covered the 3 revolutions, AI and climate change, how AI impacts the future of work & education and more. In my keynote speech, I first explore the concept of intelligence, contrasting human intelligence (HI) with artificial intelligence and human consciousness, versus the binary (but soon, limitless) computing powers of machines.

I discuss the impacts of AI on society, including potential benefits such as advancements in healthcare and sustainable/green technologies, as well as potentially existential risks related to misalignment, dehumanisation, abuse and over-reliance. As we face major global changes driven by what I call the 3 Revolutions (digital, sustainability, and purpose), I emphasize the need to balance technological progress with ethical considerations digital ethics.

I advocate for using AI as a TOOL rather than a replacement for human capabilities, stressing the importance of collaboration and holistic policy-making to ensure a positive future for all.
