Covid19 was/is a giant accelerator – both for the things that were already budding before (working from home, ehealth, elearning, and online conferencing) as well as those that were already tough before (such as rising inequality and healthcare shortcomings). 2021 ended with the news of the world's biggest social media company changing its name from ‘Facebook' to ‘Meta', hinting that the so-called Metaverse will be the next big shiny thing.

Gerd's new speaking topic presents his take on the Metaverse, or rather on what he started to call the MetaPerverse – it may well be ‘heaven' for business, but may also be ‘hell' for people.

The Metaverse was one of the first topics of Gerd's new live show called ‘GerdTalks', held on YouTube, with a reprise session on LinkedIn.
